HOW TO CHOOSE THE PERFECT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

I totally get it & I’ve been there. Planning your wedding can feel overwhelming. Finding wedding vendors and interviewing them can seem daunting and exhausting. But don’t worry, I’ve got you!! As a previous bride who has planned her own wedding and as a wedding photographer, I’ve got some tips for you.

Here are some things to look for when searching for a wedding photographer.

YOU ARE IN LOVE WITH THEIR STYLE.

The first thing you should notice about a wedding photographer is their style. Every photographer has a way they take photos, how they work with light, how they use composition in their images. On top of that every photographer has their own style when it comes to editing their images. Some are light and airy, some are dark and moody, and others are in between. When you are looking for a photographer I highly recommend starting with their images. When you look through their images, make sure they are making you feel something. If you love what you see and what you feel, that’s a great place to start.

YOU CLICK WITH THEM LIKE A BFF.

When you start emailing and talking with your photographer and then when you finally meet them, you should definitely have a feeling of whether you like them or not. Make sure you vibe well, you like their energy, and you want them around on your special day. They will be with you your whole day, make sure you want them there.

YOU TRUST THEM COMPLETELY.

After all your research, meeting with your photographer, and listening to your gut…you should totally trust your photographer. Know that they will show up for you completely on your wedding day. They want to take gorgeous photos of you and they want you to love them. They will take all the shots that you are looking for and they will deliver them as expected. Talk it all out and trust your gut.

There you go. If you can fully say YAAAAASSSSS to these three things than you’ve found your photographer. If not, keep looking.
